Datalinx have been involved in implementing handheld computers and barcode scanners for over twenty years. Over that time we have gained a great deal of experience of what works, what doesn't, which types of units work best in which environments and with which kind of people. Our experience has enabled us to select the best tools for the job - so if you are implementing one of our Barcoding systems, then here are some recommended mobile computers.

The ES400 provides the equivalent of an "office-in-a-pocket" in a small and compact smartphone style device.The user has real-time access to business critical applications and communications, and also the ability to automate the capture of key business data. Including bar codes, documents and signatures as well as photographs and annotate for detailed reference.

Q550

The Fujisu Q550 tablet is compatible with the Mobile Order and Delivery (van sales) solution and offers an alternative to the ES400 and MC75A barcode scanning computers. Frequently utilised by sales reps when on site with customers. The Windows 7 tablet is a 10.5" slate pc with an auto rotation screen that is helpful when viewing and processing orders with customers and works with 3G/EDGE and WiFi networks.

The Memor unit is a compact handheld, functionally aligned for the Sage 50 market. It is a cost effective unit but with power scanning capabilities and a high resolution screen above its entry level status.

Ideal for light industrial or retail environments.

The Honeywell 6100 is a "pocket sized" ultra lightweight mobile computer features an angled imager that allows users to view the screen while scanning a bar code. Constructed for use in light industrial in-premise environments.

The Honeywell 6500 has been designed with a tapered keypad that fits easily in any user's hand. It has a large, color touch screen display that allows users to see more of an application on a single screen, and has multiple keypad options.

The MC75A offers more functionality than previous models and has been designed to meet the requirements of today's mobile workforce. It has increased processing power, improved rugged design and flexibility in extending solution reach, data capture capabilities, connectivity options, and security and manageability. It is available with WWAN/WLAN and WLAN enabling standardisation of a single device for workers inside and out in the field.

The MC9090 is the market leader in terms of rugged durable scanner/computers, targeted specifically at key Sage 500/1000 working environments. It is usually supplied with an ergonomic pistol grip, for comfortable multiple scans.

Ideal for use in demanding environments such as outdoors in inclement weather; in dusty, hot warehouses, on manufacturing floors, on the road in delivery vehicles and in the aisle of retail operations.
