The Datalinx Inventory Manager application is becoming the application of choice for the Sage 200 user who controls stock in a traditional warehouse and distribution environment. Whilst basic functionality has been available to allow issue of stock to manufacturing, Datalinx is about to take this to the next level.  

The Datalinx Inventory Manager 200 will, during 2010, gain the ability to pick against Bill of Materials processed by the Sage 2010 BOM module. This is seen as the first step in delivery of manufacturing functionality and is planned to be released within the first half of 2010. This will allow the picking of each item within the BOM(s) confirming the quantity and the batch that is being utilised via hand held devices. This functionality will use the Sage APIs to update Sage 200 in line with the rest of the IM200 application.

 A second manufacturing functionality release of IM200 is anticipated later in 2010. This will allow for Works Order picking, Works Order issues and Works Order completion (i.e. receipts into stock). It is not anticipated at this stage that we will handle complex functionality such as closing Works Orders or product substitutions. We will provide the basic hand held functionality to be able to work with Sage 200 Manufacturing.
