The Datalinx DML client is designed to run under the Android operating system, and Datalinx have tested the client from Android version ‘Kitkat’ to V11. Android V10 and V11 has been tested across all Zebra Technologies TC and MC devices (excluding RFID devices). Earlier versions of Android have been tested and approved on specific devices. Please read the PDF for more detailed information.
Tablet devices running Android 10 and 11, such as the Samsung TAB A7 will run the DML client but it should be noted that to be able to utilise some of the advanced barcode handling that Datalinx applications provide, specific Bluetooth or USB connected scanners are required.
As part of Datalinx’s on-going product development it is expected that the Datalinx DML Client will be tested and approved against future versions of Android as they become available.
