Early Models of Hand Helds
September 2015 Release
The added functionality required by progressive warehouse management requires additional power within the hand held terminal, that is not generally available in older devices.
Due to the increase in the components of the Microsoft operating system that Datalinx warehousing uses, earlier models of hand held terminals lack sufficient memory to be compatible with the latest version of Warehouse Manager v2015 and the new functionality that is available within this release.
Whilst the majority of programs will operate, the response times are seriously compromised, this has been noted specifically on the Janam XM66 and Motorola MC50.
To gain the benefit of the additional functionality available in the latest version of Warehouse Manager 200 version 2015 then Datalinx recommend that the terminals should be upgraded to the symbol MC45 and MC55A models or similar.
